Streaming Digital Signage Content Through the Use of an App

In May of 2011, ConnectedSign paired with Samtec to create an innovative and useful Digital Signage framework. The mission was to provide the company with an easily managed information network to broadcast communications to their global family of employees. The system design featured at Samtec boasts usability and function. The screens run; Microsoft Office applications, flash files, videos, Adobe PDF files, RSS feeds, text files, HTML links, and weather. The signage project with Samtec has proven to be very successful. Dan Schneider, a Training Coordinator at Samtec, attributes their success to “great technical help, quality equipment, and easy-to-use content management software”.
The tentative date of completion for the Samtec project lies approximately in the third quarter of 2012. This completion date takes Samtec’s plans for global expansion into calculation. To “go global” ConnectedSign and Samtec plan to stream content to remote global facilities from their Digital Signage infrastructure titled Samtec TigerNet. Following true to the App-driven society today, Samtec will use an App to stream this content to the company computers globally. Samtec’s use of Digital Signage has been growing with plans to continue adding units in throughout 2013.
The innovative design of this Digital Signage project will allow Samtec to communicate directly with their global facilities and allow for limitless streaming content.
