CMV, and Other Viruses, are a Direct Cause of Cancer; The CBCD Reviews the Evidence

Industry: Health & Fitness

Research shows a link between the cytomegalovirus (CMV) and cancer. The CBCD reviews the medical evidence and recommends two natural antivirals.

“Infected with the cytomegalovirus (CMV)? We recommend Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD

Doctors Cecilia Söderberg-Nauclér and John Inge Johnsen wrote that the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) is found “in brain tumors in both adults (glioblastoma) and children (medulloblastoma).” (1) Both doctors are from The Brain Tumor Center at The University of Chicago.

However, CMV isn’t just found in brain tumors. In fact, research shows that CMV is found in many cancers. “Other more common cancer forms such as breast cancer, colon and prostate cancer as well as salivary gland mucoepidermoid carcinomas are also frequently virus positive, with a prevalence approaching 90-100%.” (1) Importantly, doctors Dey, Ahmed, and Lesniak wrote that viruses like CMV, can “directly cause several human cancers by various mechanisms.” (2)

The CBCD points out that most people do not know that “viruses are the second most important risk factor for cancer development in humans, exceeded only by tobacco consumption.” (2) What this means, is that according to science, viruses like CMV are a major cause of cancer.

The CBCD recommends that people infected with a herpes virus take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against the herpes simplex virus, and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs.  Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HSV … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3)  The study authors also wrote that, “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3)

Both products can be ordered online on the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin websites.

Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

In addition to the evidence presented above, scientists also discovered that “CMV proteins are expressed only in tumor cells, while non-tumor cells surrounding the tumor are CMV negative (1).” Moreover, CMV causes “DNA damage and inhibits DNA repair mechanisms, induces oncogene expression and telomerase activity, induces inflammation and at the same time avoids recognition by the immune system (1).”

“Cytomegalovirus, or CMV, is a common virus that infects people of all ages…the virus is generally passed from infected people to others through direct contact with body fluids, such as urine, saliva, or breast milk. CMV is sexually transmitted. It can also be spread through transplanted organs and blood transfusions. People who are infected with CMV can shed the virus (pass the virus from their infected body fluids, such as urine, saliva, blood, and semen, into the environment). Young children often shed CMV for months after they first become infected.” (See the CDC, last updated July 28, 2010) (4).

The main takeaway is that CMV and other latent viruses are the second most important cause of cancer. The CBCD believes that these facts, combined with the medical evidence presented above, indicate the need to target latent viruses like CMV.

About CBCD

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (https://www.cbcd.net) is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS tax code. The center’s mission is to advance the research on the biology of chronic disease and to accelerate the discovery of a cure for these diseases. The CBCD first published Dr. Hanan Polansky’s highly acclaimed “Purple” book, entitled “Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease” in 2003. In this book, he explains how foreign DNA fragments can cause many major diseases. The book has been read by more than 5,000 scientists around the world, and has been reviewed in more than 20 leading scientific journals. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
