Catch the Northern Lights at their Best

Industry: Tourism/Vacation

Astronomy holidays with Explorers Tours are designed to be more than just trips to see astronomical events.

London (PRUnderground) October 31st, 2012

Astronomy holidays with Explorers Tours are designed to be more than just trips to see astronomical events, they are also intended to help people get the most out of the phenomena they have travelled, sometimes many thousands of miles, to witness.  The tours are led by their very own astronomy experts who are always on hand to answer any astronomical questions you may have, and who are happy to help at any level of astronomical interest from pointing out the constellations in the night sky to giving advice as to how best photograph an aurora, as well as giving interesting and informative lectures in the evenings.

The Iceland northern lights holidays have proved very popular, due in part to the recent popularity of television programmes and journalistic coverage of the Northern Lights which has given rise to a surge of interest among the public.  Iceland is not only a relatively short flight away, but it is also a very interesting and beautiful country to visit, with many activities to keep you busy and active during the day, as well as having a very good chance of seeing the aurora by night.

It is no coincidence that there has recently been a surge in media interest in the Northern Lights because the Sun’s activity has been increasing over the last few years, being due to peak in 2013 when there will be the best chance of seeing the lights for many years to come. Explorers have just released a dedicated Northern Lights brochure with tours to Sweden, Iceland and Alaska to catch the lights at their best.
