London, UK (PRUnderground) March 5th, 2014

Bromley Training & Assessment Centre (BTAAC) has just held a very successful Maintenance Management Seminar. All positions were free to local schools and businesses maintenance managers and engineers. The aim of the day was to promote the importance of safety within the maintenance industry, focusing on the gas and electrical industries. All Candidates said they found the information they received very help and will now benefit them when they return to work. By highlighting the dangers of the industry’s to the candidates BTAAC were able to help prevent them working dangerously both at their place of work and at home.

The gas and electrical speakers were both highly qualified in their respective fields. The Gas Speaker, John Rose, has this to say “These free seminars are great to offer to local companies. It’s not often I am able to make maintenance engineers aware of the dangers they face every day. So many people think they are able to fix minor problems, but it’s always safer to get a qualified engineer in.”

The day consisted of two talks, lunch and then a question and answer session. This was very successful as the attendees were able to pick the speakers brains. BTAAC found by giving the candidates the freedom to quiz the speakers they were able to understand the topics discussed earlier in the day.

The company feels by offering these free events to local companies it is a great opportunity to create a local business community. With the benefit of making the maintenance engineers aware of the dangers that come with working within this industry. At the end of the day there was the opportunity to book on to courses to broaden the candidate’s qualifications.

The Director of the company commented “It is so important that all engineers working around gas and electrics know the dangers they face when unqualified. Our aim is to make them more aware of their surroundings and how to identify an unsafe situation.”

After the success of the seminar there will be more held in the future and BTAAC will extend the invitation to try and inform as many engineers as possible. BTAAC are an accredited training centre and run a wide range of approved UK gas courses.
