Brand New Website Launched by Claire Wood Photography

Claire Wood, a leading Yorkshire phototgrapher, has launched a brand new website. Claire Wood specialises in celebrity, editorial, commercial, corporate and educational photography and works in the north of England. She mainly covers Manchester to Leeds, but is often commissioned to work further afield. Calder Web Marketing were commissioned to carry out the web design and development work, and much of the site is developed specificially to meet the needs of a professional photographer in terms of how the images are displayed.

Claire said “The main reason for commissioning Calder Web to produce a new website was to resolve the search engine optimisation issues that had become apparent with my old site.  The old site, although visually attractive, was very limited behind the scenes and was not working well with google.   My website is my online portfolio, my shop window, and being found on Google has become increasingly important to me over the years.”

She went on to say “I’m keen to make myself known to local businesses and to continue to expand into the corporate and commercial side of photography.  Being found on Google when local businesses search for a photographer is key to growing my business.”

The website is built on a Google-friendly platform, and the images are displayed at the highest possible quality level. Claire explained that “Suzy created a new site in the same style, with a similar layout to the old one but with many improvements and she had lots of suggestions to improve the user experience. I had many requests over small visual elements on the site and Suzy worked tirelessly to resolve them all until I was entirely happy.  I’m very pleased with the results as I now have a site that I’m confident to refer clients to, that is easy to update and that will work with me and for me with regard to generating new business.”
