This unique show combines music, theatre and dance in an extravagant way, based on the lyrics and music of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, with additional music form Jordan Mclean and Aaron Johnson.
The story of the show is based on the life of the late Fela Kuti, a musician and activist who was a target for government soldiers that were repeatedly sent to stop his performances.
The musical has previously played Off- and On-Broadway and has been nominated for many awards including a Grammy and multiple Tony Awards.
Fela! has some very famous names backing the show as producers, including movie stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, and Shawn Carter, better known by his rap moniker Jay Z.
