Spice girl Melanie C and Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles have been confirmed to join Tim Minchin in the Jesus Christ Superstar UK arena tour and Hotel Direct are offering the O2 show as part of their London theatre breaks.
Moyles will play King Herod, the Spice Girl singer will play Mary Magdalene and Minchin, who co-wrote the successful Matilda, will play Judas Iscariot.
The titular role of Jesus will be cast during ITV’s reality show Superstar, where the British public will help decided who gets the lead role.
The trio and the ITV show’s winner will tour the country’s arenas in September and October later this year, kicking off with the Londonshow at the O2 arena on September 21st.
The tour is to celebrate 40 years since the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice rock classic first opened inLondon’sWest Endand is sure to be a delight for old fans and a new audience who has never seen the show before.
