Formed in Oldham, Greater Manchester, Inspiral Carpets were one of the most popular UK rock and indie bands of the 1990s. Although perhaps not as well known as some of their contemporaries and immediate successors in the UK charts, their influence on music has been undeniable; Noel Gallagher of Oasis fame started his career as a guitar technician for the band (following auditioning unsuccessfully to be their lead singer), and their many fans have remained fiercely loyal to them over the years.
Despite originally going their separate ways in 1995, Inspiral Carpets reformed in 2003 and have been amazing their followers with some sporadic yet spellbinding live shows all over the UK and beyond ever since.
