Bespoke Luxury from a Sustainable Source
Casa del Rio Collection Crafts Quality Accessories from Florida Alligator Hunt.
Fort Pierce, FL (PRUnderground) September 4th, 2014
Florida’s statewide alligator harvest is underway, but what to do with that catch? Casa del Rio Collection is now producing custom alligator accessories for clients who provide their own wild American alligator hides. The company’s first bespoke production of this kind will be for Mrs. LeeAnn Adams Simmons and will utilize a wild Florida alligator hide she harvested during the state’s annual hunt.
Mrs. Adams Simmons, of the Adams Ranch in Fort Pierce, FL is leading the newest generation of her family’s cattle/agriculture operation into the 21st century. She acquired her alligator hide during a hunt that symbolized a partnership with the Northern Everglades Alliance, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Sportsmen’s Trust Group. The annual statewide alligator hunt began August 15th and will continue until November 1st, 2014.
Florida’s alligator harvest has been recognized since 1988 as a model program both nationally and internationally for the sustainable use of a natural resource. Casa del Rio Collection utilizes a byproduct of this state-mandated harvest and produces American made luxury accessories from the alligator hides.
