The Valley at Carnon Downs has been honoured in this year’s Cornwall Tourism Awards winning Bronze in the Holiday Village & Resort of The Year category. The announcement was made at the glittering Grand Awards Dinner held at The Headland Hotel on Thursday 7th October and presented by Cornwall’s favourite comedian, the Kernow King.
This was great news for the holiday cottages in Cornwall. These prestigious awards recognise tourism businesses that demonstrate excellence across every aspect of their operations, with a prime focus on delivering a great customer experience whilst promoting Cornwall as a year round holiday destination. The rigorous judging process carried out by a panel of some of the industry’s top professionals ensures that any business reaching the ‘final three’ in each category can be very proud of their achievement.
The Valley already enjoys the coveted status as Cornwall’s only Five Star Gold Award gated hamlet of holiday cottages, and this additional recognition can only serve to reinforce what guests of The Valley have been saying since this uniquely chic countryside hideaway opened its doors in 2005.
Despite this most recent and warmly welcomed honour, owner Julie Horsfall is keen to emphasise that the team at The Valley are keeping their feet firmly on the ground, “I believe that we will only continue to be successful if we keep our guests’ enjoyment as the driving force of everything that we do. We will continue to work very hard to impress those who discover The Valley for the first time and also look after our regular visitors, many of whom we now count as friends.”
