Aurora Swift’s new book,  “Cyberbullying & Cyberharassment: A Resource & True Story of Social Media Stalking, Harassment, Defamation, Libel and Cyber Crime” tells the true story of Mia, a small business owner, wife and mother who had worked for years building a successful business. When a jealous competitor spread a nasty article around to others in their field, her once “peers and friends” turned against her, attacking all of her businesses online with fake reviews, sharing damaging content around her network and intentionally sabotaged all of her efforts to keep her businesses alive despite their online attacks.

Imagine losing your job, business, income, family, friends, and child. All thanks to a peer/friend/competitor who got jealous of your success and libeled you online, encouraging others to do the same. What happens next? A social media storm of negativity, bad publicity, false statements of fact, libel, defamation, slander, and ultimately… losing everything you had worked so hard to build.

Aurora’s determined to visit colleges, workplaces and small business communities to discuss the impact of negative social media attention and share Mia’s story in greater detail. “We have to make it stop,” says Aurora. “If we don’t, cyberharassment and cyberbullying will continue – suicides will be prevalent and innocent people will continue to be hurt. There’s no way I can ever restore Mia to her past life, but what I CAN do is share her story and donate a large portion of the profits of this book to help her rebuild.”
