A true story and “beautifully written” book on cyberbullying and cyberharassment opens up the impact on victims. Want to help change society and support a massive crowdfunding opportunity? Keep reading.

Aurora Swift’s new book,  “Cyberbullying & Cyberharassment: A Resource & True Story of Social Media Stalking, Harassment, Defamation, Libel and Cyber Crime” tells the true story of Mia, a small business owner, wife and mother who had worked for years building a successful business. When a jealous competitor spread a nasty article around to others in their field, her once “peers and friends” turned against her, attacking all of her businesses online with fake reviews, sharing damaging content around her network and intentionally sabotaged all of her efforts to keep her businesses alive despite their online attacks.

Imagine losing your job, business, income, family, friends, and child. All thanks to a peer/friend/competitor who got jealous of your success and libeled you online, encouraging others to do the same. What happens next? A social media storm of negativity, bad publicity, false statements of fact, libel, defamation, slander, and ultimately… losing everything you had worked so hard to build.

Unfortunately, all kids and adults are at risk of having this type of scenario happen to them. Our society has become enriched with snarky comments aimed at poking fun of others, ruthless blog writers who use their talent for writing to hurt people, and a general public population who believes everything they read on the internet. The result is catastrophic. While other cultures frown upon causing someone to lose face in front of others, our society seems to encourage it. Is this what we want?

This book provides resources – including contact information, nonprofit organizations, law enforcement go-tos and how-tos, removal techniques, firms to use to help support you, how to de-index Google search results, how to remove Facebook feeds, pages and groups targeting you – and so much more. Not just a true story about Mia – it’s a complete full-scale resource go-to for anyone who has concerns about their online reputation.

“Not everyone can afford to hire a reputation management firm once they’ve been destroyed online,” says Aurora. “Mia’s story is an epic one that is tragically common for many adults but hers has a twist that is revealed in the book. It’s essential that we change how we interact online with each other, and that’s why I wrote this book. I’ve captured her pain, anguish and struggle to reclaim her life again… and to this day she’s still trying to recover. There are so many wrongs to right in her honor. All I’m asking is for everyone to support this book, my crowdfunding mission and to be responsible when posting/writing online”.

Aurora’s determined to visit colleges, workplaces and small business communities to discuss the impact of negative social media attention and share Mia’s story in greater detail. She plans on using the proceeds of the crowdfunding campaign to help those active in social media better understand victim impact and recovery.

“We have to make it stop,” says Aurora. “If we don’t, cyberharassment and cyberbullying will continue – suicides will be prevalent and innocent people will continue to be hurt. There’s no way I can ever restore Mia to her past life, but what I CAN do is share her story and donate a large portion of the profits of this book to help her rebuild.”
