Astroglide proudly announces the launch of TTC™ Trying to Conceive, a new sperm-friendly lube designed to help support fertility
Vista, California (PRUnderground) May 4th, 2015
For partners who’d like to become parents, Astroglide has introduced a brand new lubricant — Astroglide TTC™ (Trying to Conceive). Unlike traditional lubricants that may impede sperm motility and alter pH levels, Astroglide TTC™ is specially formulated to provide a better environment for conception.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, an average of one in eight couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy, and over 7.4 million women have used fertility services. Even couples without specific fertility issues may struggle for months or even years trying to conceive. For couples like these, every choice that tips the scales in their favor can make a difference. Astroglide TTC™ was created to help couples who want to have comfortable, enjoyable sex while on the journey to become pregnant.
“We couldn’t be more excited to add Astroglide TTC™ to our collection of personal lubricants,” says Helen Way, Senior Marketing Manager at BioFilm, Inc. “We know that this affordable and easy-to-apply formula will be a big hit with couples!”
Lab-tested Astroglide TTC™ has been clinically proven to allow sperm to move freely and unhindered. Its pH levels are specially formulated to be compatible with sperm, oocytes (egg cells) and embryos. TTC™ also has a low osmolality (concentration of substances like sodium and potassium). Together, these features make Astroglide TTC™ unique among Astroglide lubricants.
Astroglide TTC™ also increases comfort and pleasure during sexual activity. Women who experience occasional or even constant vaginal dryness can rely on Astroglide TTC to create a natural feeling of lubrication that decreases friction, sensitivity and pain.
“Stress and discomfort can make getting pregnant seem like a painful chore, when it should really be a fun and exciting process,” says Astroglide’s new Fertility Expert Dr. Shahin Ghadir. “That’s why the release of Astroglide TTC™ is such great news for couples — the lubricant makes the process more comfortable and fun.”
In addition to the release of Astroglide TTC™, Astroglide has also announced a partnership with Shahin Ghadir, M.D. and Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Ghadir will serve as an Astroglide Brand Ambassador to promote Astroglide TTC™ and to provide the advice of a medical expert to couples who struggle with issues of fertility.
A graduate of UCLA and the Central University School of Medicine, Dr. Ghadir currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Fertility Association. President and founder of the non-profit Fertility For All, Dr. Ghadir has also been widely published in journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Ghadir also served as a consultant for the infertility section of the bestselling pregnancy guide, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.”
