However, like many great organisations, we grew from humble beginnings.

Our two founders, Tim Greening and Glenn Rowley, established their innovative travel company in the early part of the 1980s after spending time away from Britain exploring Asia. The name ‘KE’ came as a result of their epic trip, which saw them discover the imposing K2 and Concordia mountains amongst Pakistan’s legendary Karakoram range; the two intrepid adventurers decided upon their return to set up a holiday business that was entirely unique and drew directly on their personal experiences for inspiration, and so ‘The Karakoram Experience’ – KE Adventure – was born.

Since then, we have become a highly respected group, now sending our guests to over 70 countries around the globe and helping everyone from schoolchildren to charities turn their most extraordinary adventure dreams into reality.
