Today, Park Holidays UK is the proud owner of 25 of England’s best holiday parks, providing guests with quality accommodation and entertainment on their getaways from Devon to Suffolk every year. The business started from humble beginnings, however, and it is only the hard work and dedication to high standards that our colleagues have shown over the decades which has led to us becoming the respected and popular enterprise that we are today.
Founded in 1984 by Peter Bull and Jim Watson, the company built its first park – Frenchman’s Beach – near Rye in East Sussex, which remains one of our key destinations to this day. Things then went from strength to strength, with further development into other parts of East Sussex, as well as Kent, leading to the fledgling group becoming part of Cinque Ports Leisure. The organisation continued to steadily grow from then onwards, with a major expansion occurring in 2001 when Haven Holidays sold eleven of its parks to the business.
A crowning moment for Park Holidays UK, as it officially became known in 2007, came when it was named as a finalist in the prestigious 2009 British Travel Awards.
