2015 Me Fine Foundation Gala Most Successful To Date

The Me Fine Foundation raised over $175,000 at their annual gala to benefit children receiving long term medical treatment from Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals.

The Me Fine Foundation is proud to announce over $175,000 was raised at their annual gala held at City Club Raleigh on September 26th, 2015. The Me Fine Gala presented by Centrifuge Media, was a night of celebration hosted by reality television stars Penn and Kim Holderness and topped off by the presentation of the “Hero for Life” award. The gala serves as the non-profit’s annual signature fundraiser, to provide financial assistance and emotional support programs to parents and caregivers whose children are receiving long term medical treatment from Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals.
The “Hero for Life” award is the Me Fine Foundation’s highest honor, designed to recognize those who go above and beyond to help critically ill kids and families, specifically Me Fine Foundation’s mission. This year’s award was presented to current chair Tracy Sanders and past chair Josh Swindell, each of whom have helped guided Me Fine’s growth over the last few years.
“This year’s gala raised $70,000 more than the previous year and certainly exceeded our expectations. It would not have been possible without our sponsors, attendees and supporters, “ said Joey Powell, Executive Director of the Me Fine Foundation. “Being able to recognize Josh and Tracy on such a special night was icing on the cake,” he added.
