Female rap duo Love Mocha Love’s “I’ll Bass You”, a hip-house track that was released as a 12” single by U.S. indie Low Frequency Recordings in the 90s, has been sampled by Denney in the hit song “Low Frequency” on the Hot Creations imprint.  “I’ll Bass You” has also been remixed, retooled, and just released by American DJ/production duo Ludwig Van & Dirty Bach on the Low Frequency Recordings label.

Ludwig Van & Dirty Bach discovered Denney’s track while working on their reinventions of “I’ll Bass You” for the LSE Productions independent film “The Poles” (directed by Hansen Styles), and decided to make their new versions commercially available.

“I love what Denney did with Love Mocha Love, and I think that his ‘Low Frequency’ is a fantastic underground track,” says Low Frequency Recordings owner Craig Bevan, who produced and co-wrote “I’ll Bass You”.  “Given all of the excitement that Denney’s song is generating, I thought it would be cool to place ‘I’ll Bass You’ firmly in the mass market with updated main room, electro house, and rock mixes.  These new iterations will give DJs around the world lots of ways to mix in the original party rap vocals, which have proved to be anthemic, iconic, and timeless.”

Ludwig Van & Dirty Bach’s “I’ll Bass You”, which clocks at 126 BPM, is available in the following versions:

The 50Hz Low Frequency Mix (full length and edited versions) is progressive main room house/electro house with catchy vocal house hooks (“rock me with your lower frequency”, “I’ll bass you”, “let me rock your world tonight”).

The 80Hz Low Frequency Mix (full length and edited versions) offers a nu disco feel with seminal bass line-inspired production elements.

The Acieed 88 Mix features lots of Roland TB-303, acid house, and Detroit techno influences.

The Rock Frequency Mix is a pure party vibe with big drums and 80s new wave/alternative rock guitars.

Details about the commercial mixes of Ludwig Van & Dirty Bach’s “I’ll Bass You” are available at LFRecordings.com.  The mixes can be purchased on Bandcamp, Beatport, Amazon, and iTunes.  Exclusive DJ downloads are available by contacting Bevan at Low Frequency Recordings.  A video for the track, which was directed by Ludwig Van & Dirty Bach, is posted on YouTube.

Denney’s “Low Frequency” has been featured on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, and as an “Essential Track” on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show.  It spent six weeks at the top of Beatport’s Tech House chart, and maintained a continued presence in the chart’s top ten.

The original version of “I’ll Bass You” has been sampled numerous times, and was part of releases that have sold over 1.7 million copies around the world.
